NEW! Lately, I’ve been drawn to the quiet beauty of Japanese rice papers, chosen for their whisper-thin translucency in place of conventional photo paper. This delicate quality brings a softness and depth to the image that opaque papers can’t match. I aim to evoke atmosphere rather than precision, which makes them ideal for reproducing my encaustic artwork. In photographic prints, the rice paper lends a mood that feels gentle and almost ethereal. It's difficult to appreciate the subtle quality in this digital display, however, my prints are available to see in person at Pink Dog Gallery , 344 Depot St. and at The Outpost Gallery 24 N. Lexington Ave in Asheville. While the papers are archival, they—like all art—are best preserved away from direct sunlight.Inquire for more info.
